One way to improve your RUAE marks is to practise the technique of ‘close reading’. In other words, every time you’re reading an article in a newspaper or magazine or online, have a running commentary going through your head as you spot the techniques that might get you marks in an English close reading or textual analysis paper. In this video I look at a typical opinion piece from a newspaper and show you what to look out for.
