Deep Patel says
I gave my IELTS exam on 20 August. The pattern was:
1) Writing: Task 1: A graph about a survey and Task 2: Many parents now immigrate to foreign countries for work and bring their children with them. Do the advantages overweight disadvantages?
2) Listening: Part 1 Easy, Part 2: Match the following Part 3 Match the following and MCQs (select any one of the options) Part 4 similar to part 1 and easy as well. The Test was conducted by IDP Australia so the accents in the listening module were also Australian.
3) Reading: Level was quite difficult if someone doest have a very good grap of English, Part 1 was a passage about history of ballet in Russia and contained a lot of French, Italian, English and Russian names and the questions were based on the names itself making it difficult. Part 2 was a short essay and it was an easy one but I don't remember what it was about. Part 3 was very weird because it was some sort of a report of museums in Australia but unlike the other passages this one was in two columns in a single page. The passage itself wasn't difficult but I had not seen such a format in the practice book that IDP provided. The questions were mostly based on the authors opinions.
4) Speaking:
Part 1) Introduction+ questions about mobile phones+my daily routine+ mirrors.
Part 2) Describe a piece of clothing that was gifted to you.
Part 3) follow up questions from part 2 such as do I still have that gift? Do celebrities influence fashion? What can you tell about a person from the clothes they wear? Etc.
My scores are Reading 8.5, Listening 8, Writing 6 and Speaking 8

I attempted on 3rd September, the reading was a bit difficult, all passages are long also writing was easy but for me difficult to manage the time so I wrote fast and my hand writing is not really good 😩. The essay was about young leaders. And the task 1 was also easy. It was about to write a letter to a writer who mentioned some wrong information on his book so, i hope the examiner will understand 🥶🥶 . And the speaking part also simple but i got nervous bcz the examiner was expert (seems like above 55 + also very strict) regarding face mask 😷. But the first part about where do you live house or in a apartment… Cue card was, about what you lost when you visited somewhere, is that was important to you , what you felt after , then some questions about the lost items , like. Do you think that you have to aware others about what you lost . And the last part part some historical items found in where it should be taken or kept ??? Also old building and about modern buildings…::: will I prefer-to live in old or new??? The task was simple but i got nervous I spoke so fast but my answer was long . And i was wearing mask until my eyes bcz the examiner was very strict about the mask 😭😭😭 she already saw me in waiting area that i was not wearing mask 😭😭😭 she asked me put your mask 😢 thats the reason i got more nervous when i knew that she is my examiner 😰😰😰 make me more nervous . I could get better mark but due to the nervousness i am hopping maybe passing mark 😔 if she would understand about the nervousness maybe she will give me what I deserved 😒
